Curator Tour | Hew Locke at Yale Center for British Art

Edward Town, Assistant Curator of Paintings and Sculpture, will lead a special guided tour of the exhibition Hew Locke: Passages on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 4 to 4:45 pm at the Yale Center for British Art in New Haven.

This program offers visitors an in-depth look at key works in the exhibition, which spans Locke’s career from the late 1990s to the present. Known for his rich, layered practice that incorporates sculpture, photography, drawing, and found objects, Locke examines the legacies of imperialism, migration, and global capitalism through visually striking and thought-provoking works.

The tour begins in the museum’s Entrance Court by the Visitor Services desk and provides an opportunity to gain deeper insight into Locke’s artistic vision and thematic explorations. Admission is free.
