CT Valley Siberian Husky Sled Dog Meet & Greet at Lyman Orchards

Come meet the remarkable Siberian Huskies of the Connecticut Valley Siberian Husky Club and learn about this special Nordic breed. This family-friendly event offers a unique opportunity to experience the world of sled dogs and their training.

On Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 10 am to 2 pm, watch continuous mushing demonstrations showcasing the dogs in harness using training equipment such as bikes, scooters, rigs for dryland, and sleds for snow. Demonstrations will take place every hour at 10:30 am, 11:30 am, 12:30 pm, and 1:30 pm. Afterward, chat with the team to learn more about these amazing dogs and their activities.

Adding to the fun, the Bridgeport Islanders Mascot, Storm, will make a special appearance from 10 am to 2 pm. Kids can enjoy street hockey activities and learn about the Islanders’ upcoming events, including the Pucks & Paws event on March 9th.

While you’re there, stop by the Apple Barrel Farm Market for delicious treats and lunch. Festive cupcake and cookie decorating kits will be available for purchase to decorate on-site or take home.
