Crafting for the Holidays: Homeschool Art Exploration at New Britain Museum of American Art

This seasonal art program offers homeschool students ages 7 to 12 an opportunity to create handmade holiday gifts inspired by artwork featuring historic depictions of Santa Claus. Each Wednesday session includes hands-on projects that introduce different materials and art-making techniques. Students may register for individual classes or participate in all three weeks. The program runs from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm on December 3, 10, and 17, 2025, with weekly projects ranging from watercolor coaster creation to mini mosaic making and painting a personalized trinket box.

Admission is $20 for non-members and $15 for Museum members. The New Britain Museum of American Art is located at 56 Lexington Street, New Britain, Connecticut.
