Coventry Farmer’s Market Dairy Day
June 30 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
This Sunday, June 30th, 2019 is Dairy Day at Coventry Farmer’s Market. Join us every Sunday from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Hale Homestead June 2 – October 27, 2019 – Rain or shine
According to the CT Department of Agriculture, there are nearly 50 dairy farms in Connecticut, ranging from small family run business to larger corporations, providing residents of CT and beyond fresh milk, cheese, butter, yogurt, and yes, ice cream. These farms also hold a large portion of the state’s precious farmland, providing pastoral landscapes, scenic vistas, and a wealth of rural character to local communities. Since 1937, the country has identified June as National Dairy Month, celebrating the contributions of the dairy industry and since 2019, we declare June 30 – Dairy Day at CFM!
Coventry Farmer’s Market is a dog-friendly market. Dogs must be properly socialized, well-behaved, and not a barker. Bring your dog to the edge of the woods for a bathroom break and bring bags to scoop the poop. Keep dogs away from vendor tables. The products are for human consumption. Per our health department, no other animals besides dogs are permitted in the market field. Under any circumstances, please don’t leave animals in your vehicle.
