Connecticut’s Revolution at Museum of Connecticut History

Mark the nation’s 250th anniversary with an exhibition exploring the people and experiences that shaped Connecticut during the Revolutionary era. More than 100 objects and documents bring new and familiar stories to light, including a copy of the Declaration of Independence printed by Mary Katharine Goddard, a Revolutionary War flag, a fragment of a statue of King George III, and objects connected to George Washington, Israel Putnam, Benedict Arnold, and Deborah Champion. The exhibition is on view July 4, 2026, through July 9, 2027. Admission is free.

The museum is open Monday through Friday from 10 am to 4 pm, with select Family Saturdays: August 15, September 19, October 17, and November 21, 2026; December 19, 2026; and January 23, February 20, March 20, April 17, May 15, and June 26, 2027.
