Community Drumming Circle at Lyman Orchards

A relaxed, family-friendly music experience takes place on May 9, 2026 from 12 pm to 3 pm at Lyman Orchards Apple Barrel Farm Market, 32 Reeds Gap Road, Middlefield, CT 06455.

Community Drumming Circle invites participants of all ages to gather on the lawn near the Apple Barrel Tent for a hands-on rhythm experience led by percussionist Ken Parker. This open-format circle encourages everyone to join in—no musical experience required—creating a shared atmosphere of sound, movement, and connection.

Participants can bring their own drums, shakers, or percussion instruments, along with a blanket or chair for comfort. The informal setting allows guests to play at their own pace, listen, and collaborate with others in a welcoming environment that celebrates creativity over perfection.

The event is free to attend, with donations appreciated. In case of rain, activities will move under the tent.
