Community Day at Yale Center for British Art

The Yale Center for British Art invites visitors of all ages to a vibrant day of multisensory programs inspired by the exhibition Hew Locke: Passages. This fall community celebration will bring the museum to life through art, music, stories, and culture.

Guests can explore the work of Guyanese British artist Hew Locke with guided exhibition tours, enjoy dynamic performances by the Golden Stars Tassa Group, and experience storytime with New Haven Reads featuring engaging tales about the Caribbean. Hands-on artmaking activities will be available for all ages, and delicious Caribbean food will add to the festive atmosphere.

Community Day takes place on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 11 am to 4 pm at the Yale Center for British Art, 1080 Chapel Street, New Haven, Connecticut. Admission is free, and visitors are encouraged to check back soon for the full schedule of events.
