Common Ground: Growers of Color Talkback at Connecticut Museum of Culture and History

The Connecticut Museum of Culture and History will host Common Ground: Growers of Color Talkback, a conversation highlighting the intersections of agriculture, culture, and community. This event will feature growers and cultural practitioners sharing their experiences and perspectives, offering an opportunity to explore both shared connections and distinct traditions.
The discussion is part of the Growers of Color video series, which focuses on how food growing is rooted in local history and continues to evolve to meet community needs. Panelists include Azeem Kareem and Sarah Rose Kareem of Samad Gardens Initiative, Khmer farmer Vicheth Im, Robert Peck of Hemp Milk and Honey, and Travis Stewart of Farm with Me LLC. The panel will be moderated by Mike Keo, Senior Communication Officer at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.
The program will take place on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 6 pm to 7:30 pm at the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History, 1 Elizabeth Street, Hartford, Connecticut.
