A full day of Revolutionary War living history takes place on May 16, 2026 from 10 am to 4 pm at the Weston History & Culture Center, 104 Weston Road, Weston, CT 06883.

This family-friendly event brings history to life with an immersive colonial encampment experience featuring the 5th Connecticut Regiment. Visitors can explore demonstrations of daily life during the Revolutionary War, including blacksmithing, weaving, outdoor cooking, woodworking, and wool spinning. Interactive exhibits and reenactors portray soldiers, surgeons, and civilians, offering insight into life during the era.

Scheduled activities throughout the day include a kid’s musket drill and march at 11 am and 3 pm, soldier drills with musket firing at 11:30 am and 2:30 pm, a Revolutionary War fashion show at 1 pm, and historic weaving demonstrations from 2 pm to 4 pm. Additional highlights include a soldier’s life tent, artifact displays, and guided tours of the Coley House, along with access to the Weston at Work interactive exhibit.

Food will be available for purchase from JR’s Food Truck and Skip’s Ice Cream truck from 11 am to 3 pm. Admission is free, and the event will be held rain or shine with on-site and street parking available.
