Christmas in Riverton Hosted by Riverton General Store will be held December 6th – December 8th.

Friday Events: 5-9pm

• Candlelit Walk Through Town
• Riverton General Store – 5-9pm
  • Serving chili or New England clam chowder in a bread bowl.
• Holiday Shopping – 5-8pm
  • Gifts & more at The Old Factory on the River, Hitchcock Chair Company, Riverton General Store, Riverton Volunteer Fire Department, Greenwood Glass Blowing Studio, Old Riverton Inn.
• Festival of Trees – 5:30-8:30pm
  • At the Riverton Grange Hall. Cast your vote for the best tree with a nonperishable food item or small donation for the Community Food Bank. Purchase raffle tickets and possibly take home your favorite tree. To benefit the Community Food Bank at the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church.
• Sing-Along – 6–8pm
  • At the Old Riverton Inn.
• Renaissance Christmas Music – 6:30–7:30pm
  • At Hitchcock Chair Company by the Greenwoods Consort.
• Wine Tasting Tour – 6-8pm
  • Provided by Ledgebrook Spirit Shop 6–8 pm. Sponsored by the Barkhamsted Historical Society. A portion of the proceeds will be gifted to the Tiny Tim Fund. Call 860-379-1082 for advance reservations (recommended). Adults over 21. Glasses purchased at Bishop’s House. $25 at the door, cash or check only.

• Children’s Craft Workshop – 1-3pm
  • At the Riverton Grange Hall. Make small gifts or ornaments with Recreation Department members. $5.00 fee. Crafts, cookies and cocoa provided!
