Chorus of Westerly Summer Pops at Wilcox Park

The Chorus of Westerly’s 40th Summer Pops is coming this September. Adhering to Rhode Island’s new guidelines on major outdoor events, the Chorus of Westerly’s 40th Summer Pops, originally scheduled for June 19, is postponed until September 11, 2021 with a rain date of Sunday, September 12, 2021.

The event will take place in Westerly’s Wilcox Park.

The next Summer Pops is scheduled to be the 40th edition of the event. The first Summer Pops concert was offered on the Westerly Post Office steps in Dixon Square in 1981. The concert itself was not meant to become an annual affair. Instead, it was created as a one-time event as both a thank you to the community and as a farewell concert to the Chorus of Westerly ahead of their first concert tour (to Great Britain).

Summer Pops is a fully produced program of The Chorus of Westerly, a certified 501(c)3 charitable arts organization and donations to the Chorus and its programs are tax-deductible.
