Chester Dog Fair at Chester Fairgrounds

The 12th annual Chester Dog Fair returns to the Chester Fairgrounds on Saturday, September 19, and Sunday, September 20, from 10 am to 3 pm each day. This family- and dog-friendly event gives dogs and their humans a chance to socialize, shop, enjoy live entertainment, and discover services and activities for canine companions.
More than 65 vendors are expected, along with food trucks, live music, demonstrations, raffles, a silent auction, Doggie Olympics, pie-eating and kissing contests, Canine Good Citizen certification, Trick Dog titles, and a lure course. Special bandanas will also be available for Homeward Bound CT alumni. A Beer & Wine Tent featuring Connecticut breweries, wineries, and cider producers will be open from 11:30 am to 4 pm Saturday and 11:30 am to 3 pm Sunday. Beer and wine tickets are $10 and include two flights or two full pours; valid ID is required. Lure course tickets are $5 per dog.
Admission is $5 per individual or $10 per family. All friendly dogs are welcome, but this is not an adoption event. Retractable leashes are not permitted for safety reasons, though standard leashes are available to borrow during the event.
The Chester Fairgrounds is located at 11 Kirtland Terrace, Chester, CT 06412. Proceeds benefit Homeward Bound CT and support its adoption events and Spay It Forward initiative. For more information about vendors, food and beverages, and entertainment, visit Homeward Bound CT.
