Buena Vista Social Orchestra at Ridgefield Playhouse

The Buena Vista Social Orchestra, directed by Jesús “Aguaje” Ramos—original orchestra leader, composer, and trombonist of The Buena Vista Social Club—brings the music and culture of Cuba to life in Ridgefield. This new stage production features the group’s greatest hits, many composed by Ramos, along with rare selections from their deep catalog.

Ramos is joined by an all-star ensemble, including original Buena Vista Social Club members “Betun” Luis Mariano Valiente Marin on congas and bongo, and Fabían Garcia on bass. Their performance continues the internationally renowned legacy of the Buena Vista name, celebrating Cuba’s rich musical traditions.

Guests can enhance the evening with a tasting from Two Roads Brewing Company before the show. Those who dine at Southwest Cafe, 109 Danbury Road in Ridgefield, and show their ticket will receive a complimentary margarita with their entrée.
