Bringing Natalie Home: An Exhibit of Natalie Van Vleck’s Art at Flanders Nature Center & Land Trust

Flanders Nature Center & Land Trust presents Bringing Natalie Home: An Exhibit of Natalie Van Vleck’s Art, on view from February 7 through May 31, 2025. This landmark exhibition showcases the artwork of Flanders’ founder, Natalie Van Vleck, in the newly established Van Vleck Gallery inside the historic Van Vleck House in Woodbury.
The exhibit features a wide range of works from Van Vleck’s artistic career, including early figure studies, portraits, and modernist landscapes. Visitors will see pieces created under the influence of renowned teachers such as Agnes Richmond, George Bridgman, Robert Henri, and Max Weber. The collection includes both works on paper and paintings, highlighting her evolution as an early American modernist.
An opening reception will be held on Friday, February 7, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The exhibit is open to the public Thursdays through Saturdays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Admission is free.
