BOOP! The Musical at The Bushnell

Betty Boop makes her dazzling Broadway debut when BOOP! The Musical arrives at The Bushnell’s Mortensen Hall from November 10–15, 2026, as part of the 2026–2027 Broadway Season.

Inspired by the beloved cartoon icon who has charmed audiences for nearly a century, this colorful musical comedy follows Betty Boop as she steps away from her black-and-white world in search of an ordinary day off from fame. Her adventure leads her to New York City, where she discovers friendship, romance, and a vibrant new perspective on life.

Filled with music, laughter, and heart, BOOP! brings the classic character to life through a creative team led by Tony Award-winning director and choreographer Jerry Mitchell. The production features a score by Grammy Award winner David Foster, lyrics by Tony Award nominee Susan Birkenhead, and a book by Tony Award winner Bob Martin. Designed for audiences of all ages, the show combines Broadway spectacle with the timeless charm that has made Betty Boop a cultural icon.

Performances will take place at Mortensen Hall, The Bushnell, 166 Capitol Avenue, Hartford, CT 06106. Evening performances are scheduled for November 10 through November 14 at 7:30 pm. Additional performances will be held on November 14 at 2 pm and November 15 at 1 pm and 6:30 pm.
