Booked & Framed Book Club: The Christmas Promise at Mattatuck Museum

Celebrate the holiday season with a festive book discussion at the Mattatuck Museum on Sunday, December 20, from 1 to 2 pm. The Booked & Framed Book Club will explore The Christmas Promise by Lindsay Gibson, a seasonal novel blending art, romance, family secrets, and the charm of a New England town at Christmas.

The story follows art buyer Charlotte Moore, who makes a desperate bid on a mysterious painting and becomes stranded in Seabreeze just weeks before Christmas. Snowed in at the festive Cove Hill Inn, she faces a career crisis, an unexpected romance, and a family secret that could change everything.

Readers can share their favorite moments, questions, and interpretations while discussing the novel’s characters, mysteries, artwork, and holiday themes with fellow book lovers.

Admission is $5.
