BODYTRAFFIC at Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts

An evening of bold, contemporary dance comes to Fairfield as BODYTRAFFIC performs on Friday, February 20 at 8 pm at the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts, 1073 North Benson Road, Fairfield, CT 06824.
The internationally acclaimed Los Angeles-based company is known for its dynamic repertory and commitment to showcasing a wide range of choreographic voices. Under the artistic direction of Tina Finkelman Berkett, BODYTRAFFIC supports both established and emerging choreographers, presenting diverse styles and perspectives that reflect powerful and timely storytelling.
The program at the Quick Center draws inspiration from influential 20th-century musicians. The evening includes two works choreographed by Trey McIntire, one set to the soulful music of Etta James and another featuring songs by rock and roll pioneer Buddy Holly. Also on the program is “I Forgot The Start,” choreographed by Matthew Neenan, a piece that explores themes of joy and grief while illuminating the relentlessness of hope. The work features music by Sinéad O’Connor, Broken Social Scene, Sufjan Stevens, and others.
