Blind Boys of Alabama at Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center

The Blind Boys of Alabama, legendary gospel musicians with a career spanning over 70 years, will take the stage at Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center in Old Saybrook on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at 7:30 pm.

Recognized worldwide and honored with six GRAMMY® Awards, Lifetime Achievement Awards from the NEA and The Recording Academy, and induction into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, the Blind Boys of Alabama have redefined gospel music by crossing into multiple genres. Their collaborations include artists such as Eric Clapton, Bonnie Raitt, Willie Nelson, Ben Harper, and Taj Mahal.

Their latest album, Echoes of the South, released in 2023, continues their mission of spreading hope and resilience through music, honoring past members and carrying their powerful legacy forward. The group has continued to receive critical acclaim, including a GRAMMY win for Best Roots Gospel Album in 2024, and a celebrated performance alongside Sir Tom Jones at Bluesfest Byron Bay.
