Mark your calendar, tell the neighbors- it’s official! The 2022 Black-eyed & Bluesfest is coming to Bushnell Park July 30 & 31, 2022. The Black-eyed & Blues Festival was created in 2001 as a partnership between the Greater Hartford Arts Council, The Hartford Advocate and Black-eyed Sally’s & The Connecticut Blues Society.
This is a free show in the park.
Saturday Headliner- Chris “Bad News” Barnes & The Bluesballers. Also playing, Paul Gabriel & The Boogie Boys, Jake Kulak & The Lowdown, and The D. Smith Blues Band.
Sunday – The Connecticut Blues Society Band Challenge. This year’s finalists are Down The Alley, The Rich Badowski Band, Carl Ricci & 706 Union Ave., Snake Hill Blues, and The Chicago Dawgs
Continuing that mission since 2001 the Black-eyed & Blues Fest has brought world class musicians and local aspiring artists together in downtown’s crown jewel, Bushnell Park. These concerts provide access to the arts for audiences of all ages in greater Hartford, and invigorate the cultural community. In fact, the event has become the longest running free Blues Festival in the state of Connecticut
