BIG Bird Day at Gant Science Complex Light Court

Discover the fascinating world of birds during BIG Bird Day on July 18, 2026, from 1 pm to 5 pm at the Gant Science Complex Light Court at the University of Connecticut. Hosted by the Connecticut State Museum of Natural History, this free event offers a rare opportunity to explore an extraordinary collection of bird specimens from Connecticut and beyond.

Visitors can walk among a remarkable display of carefully preserved taxidermy mounts dating back to the turn of the 20th century while learning about bird biology, behavior, and vocalizations.
