Behind the Scenes Tour: The American Revolution at Connecticut Museum of Culture and History

Discover rarely seen artifacts from America’s founding era during Behind the Scenes Tour: The American Revolution at the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History on July 30, 2026.
This special evening program offers visitors access to the museum’s collection storage areas, spaces that are typically closed to the public. In celebration of the 250th anniversary of American independence, the tour highlights Revolutionary War-era objects that help tell the story of Connecticut’s role in the nation’s founding.
Guests will have the opportunity to view remarkable artifacts from the museum’s collection, including Nathan Hale’s diary, letters signed by George Washington, and other historic treasures. Museum staff will share insights into these objects and discuss how they are preserved for future generations.
The tour takes place from 6 pm to 7 pm on July 30, 2026, at the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History, 1 Elizabeth Street, Hartford, CT 06105.
Tickets are $15 for general admission, $10 for Connecticut Museum members at levels under $150, and free for members at levels of $150 and above. Advance registration is recommended, as space is limited.
