Behind-the-Scenes Tour: Remembering G. Fox and Co. at Connecticut Museum of Culture and History

Step back into Hartford’s retail past with the Behind-the-Scenes Tour: Remembering G. Fox and Co. at the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History on Sunday, November 30, 2025, from 2 pm to 3 pm.

This special guided tour offers an exclusive look at the museum’s collection of memorabilia from G. Fox & Co., Hartford’s most beloved department store. Visitors will explore hundreds of fascinating artifacts once sold at the store—from elegant wedding gowns to everyday essentials—and learn about Beatrice Fox Auerbach, the visionary businesswoman who led G. Fox & Co. through its golden era.

Tickets must be purchased in advance online. Admission is $15 for the general public, $10 for Connecticut Museum members at levels under $150, and free for members at $150 and above.
