Ballet Under the Stars with Connecticut Ballet at Levitt Pavilion

An evening of professional dance returns to Levitt Pavilion when Connecticut Ballet presents Ballet Under the Stars on July 14, 2026.

One of Connecticut’s most celebrated performing arts organizations, Connecticut Ballet will showcase a new program featuring the artistry and athleticism of its professional dancers in an outdoor setting. The annual Ballet Under the Stars series has become a beloved summertime tradition, offering audiences the opportunity to experience world-class ballet performances in communities across the state.

Founded in 1981 by choreographers Brett Raphael and Luk de Layress, Connecticut Ballet made its debut at the renowned Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival and has since grown into one of the region’s leading professional ballet companies. After becoming a resident company at Stamford Center for the Arts and later expanding performances to Hartford’s Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts, the company launched its Ballet Under the Stars series in 2008, bringing free performances to audiences throughout Connecticut.

The performance begins at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, with doors opening at 6:30 pm. The event takes place at Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts, 40 Jesup Road, Westport, CT 06880.

Admission is free, but tickets are required. Free tickets may be reserved in advance online and may also be available through the Levitt Pavilion box office beginning two hours before showtime, subject to availability. Season members receive priority access to a limited reserve of tickets when public allocations have been exhausted.
