Astronomy Night: Stargazing at Lyman Orchards Golf Club

Enjoy a breathtaking evening of stargazing at Lyman Orchards Golf Course on Saturday, March 1 and March 15, 2025, from 7 pm to 10 pm. Hosted by the Astronomical Society of New Haven, this event offers a unique opportunity to observe the two largest planets in our solar system, their moons, as well as galaxies, clusters, and nebulae through high-powered telescopes.

Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs, and red flashlights to enhance their experience. This event is free and open to the public. Before heading to the driving range, consider dining at 1741 Pub & Grill located at Lyman Orchards Golf Course. The restaurant will be open until 10 pm, serving food and drinks.

The Astronomical Society of New Haven is a non-profit organization dedicated to public outreach, providing expert guidance and telescopes for visitors to explore the night sky. Guests are encouraged to ask questions and learn about celestial objects through the eyepiece.

Please note that food and beverages are not permitted near the telescopes, and white lights from smartphones and flashlights should be avoided to preserve night vision.
