Visitors can explore contemporary art and engage directly with a guest curator during Ask a Curator #2: Camilo Alvarez on June 13, 2026 from 11 am to 5 pm at the Mattatuck Museum, 144 West Main Street, Waterbury, CT 06702.
Alvarez will be available throughout the day inside the Baker Gallery exhibition Ascendancy: The Self in Contemporary Art, offering visitors the opportunity to ask questions, discuss featured works, and learn more about the exhibition’s themes, artists, and curatorial process.
Known for his work with Samson Projects, Alvarez brings extensive experience in contemporary art and exhibition development to this interactive gallery experience.
