Artist Talk: What Is Here? at William Benton Museum of Art

Contemporary drawing and the nature of perception are explored during this artist talk with Ray DiCapua, whose large-scale, intricate works investigate how images are seen, recognized, and understood. DiCapua discusses his artistic practice and the ideas that shape his approach to drawing and sculpture, drawing on a career that includes exhibitions at institutions such as the National Portrait Gallery, the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Tacoma Art Museum. The talk also reflects on his experience as a longtime educator in the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Connecticut.
