Art Start at New Britain Museum of American Art

The New Britain Museum of American Art invites young children and their caregivers to explore creativity together in Art Start, a weekly program designed for ages 3 to 5. Held on Saturdays from 11 am to 11:45 am, October 25, 2025, through April 25, 2026, this engaging class blends storytelling and artmaking in an inspiring museum setting.
Each session pairs a story read in the galleries with a thematic art project in the studios, encouraging imagination, discovery, and hands-on fun. Caregivers and children will enjoy creating together while learning about art and artists featured in the museum’s collection.
One adult is admitted free with each child ticket purchase; additional adults may attend for $10, payable at the front desk upon arrival. Pre-registration is encouraged, as space is limited. The New Britain Museum of American Art is located at 56 Lexington Street, New Britain, Connecticut.
