Art Colony Camp Session #1 at Florence Griswold Museum

Young artists are invited to immerse themselves in the creative spirit of the historic Lyme Art Colony during Art Colony Camp Session #1 at the Florence Griswold Museum. This five-day summer camp, running from July 7 to July 11, 2025, offers an engaging blend of art-making, museum exploration, and fun for children ages 5 to 12 who have completed kindergarten.

Campers will explore the museum’s exhibitions and grounds while creating original works of art inspired by the artists of the Lyme Art Colony. Activities include painting, games, and group projects, with all materials provided. Each camper receives a camp t-shirt and daily snacks.

The week concludes with a celebratory art show, where families and friends are invited to view a gallery of student artwork created throughout the week. Camp sessions run daily from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm and are tailored to students entering grades 1–3 or 4–6.
