Armed Forces Day Festival South Windsor

March 17th Update: Armed Forces Day Festival in South Windsor has been cancelled.

The SW Patriotic Commission hosts its annual Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 16, 2020 from 5 PM-dusk, Nevers Road Park. The event includes an awesome fireworks display, music, plenty of military vehicles,and interactive attractions, lots of free kids activities, more than a dozen food trucks, over 40 vendors and more!!

Alpaca Petting Zoo * Face painting * Bounce houses
Military and patriotic displays * Children’s activities by Nomad’s.

More than 40 vendors and crafters

Villa of Lebanon (Lebanonese food)
Dee’s Flavors (Spanish cuisine)
Tots, Hots & Brats (Burgers, Hot dogs, Red Hots, Steak&Cheese)
Makin Bacon (Bacon Delights)
Brazilian Gula (Brazilian food)
Rita’s Italian Ice.
Hand Squeezed Lemonade
Plymouth Kettlecorn
Mac Attack (macaroni/cheese w/topping in a cone)
Everything for $5 and under (burgers, dogs, fries, nuggets)
Vinci Concessions (Fried Dough)
Chris’s Concessions (spiral cut potatoes/ wrapped around hot dogs)
Wing it on Wheels (plenty of wings)
Just Bite Me (coffee, cocoa, tea, mini donuts)

Civic organizations will be present.

Fireworks at dusk.(Shot off from Collins Sledding Hill, so best view point is lower section of Nevers Park)
