Architecture Tour at Yale Center for British Art

Guests can explore the striking design of one of New Haven’s architectural landmarks during a docent-led architecture tour at the Yale Center for British Art. This in-depth experience highlights the museum’s iconic building, designed by renowned modernist architect Louis I. Kahn (1901–1974).

The tour offers insight into Kahn’s masterful use of natural light, space, and materials that define the museum’s distinctive style. Visitors will gain a deeper appreciation for the structure’s design as they engage with docents who offer unique perspectives and expertise.

The tour will take place on Sunday, August 10, 2025, from 3:00 to 3:45 pm. Tours begin in the Entrance Court near the Visitor Services desk at the Yale Center for British Art, located at 1080 Chapel Street, New Haven, Connecticut.
