Annual Pancake Breakfast & Maple Sugaring Demonstration at Indian Rock Nature Preserve

Indian Rock Nature Preserve will host its annual Pancake Breakfast and Maple Sugaring Demonstration on March 8 from 8 am to 12 pm. Guests can enjoy a breakfast featuring plain, apple, and chocolate chip pancakes served with ELCCT’s pure maple syrup, along with bacon or sausage and a choice of coffee, milk, or orange juice.

Visitors can explore indoor animal exhibits and attend outdoor maple sugaring demonstrations to learn how to identify and tap a Sugar Maple tree. The event showcases traditional sugaring techniques used by Native Americans and colonists and demonstrates how maple syrup is made today, including small-scale backyard sugaring. ELCCT’s own maple syrup and maple candy will be available for purchase.

Breakfast is $10 per adult and $7 per child. Children 12 months and under eat free. Pre-registration is preferred, but walk-ins are welcome. The event takes place at Indian Rock Nature Preserve, 501 Wolcott Rd., Bristol, CT. For more details, contact lprior@elcct.org.
