Annual Old Wethersfield Lantern Light Tours
October 19, 2018 - October 20, 2018

The Wethersfield Historical Society will be hosting its award-winning Old Wethersfield Lantern Light Tours on October 19th and 20th. The hour long tours begin at 6:30 p.m. and will leave every 15 minutes until 8 p.m.
This year’s Lantern Light Tour theme centers on the businessmen and women of Wethersfield from the 17th through 20th century. Join us to explore their meticulously researched lives and stories as you meet these figures in Wethersfield’s Ancient Burying Ground, the First Church of Christ Meetinghouse, at our Hurlbut-Dunham House and more!
The evening begins and ends at the Keeney Memorial Cultural Center at 200 Main Street with hot cider and cookies. This program is made possible in part by the generous support of the Robert Allan Keeney Memorial Fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, ShopRite of Manchester and East Hartford and members of Wethersfield Historical Society.
Timed tickets are sold prior to the event, with remaining tickets at the door; however, tickets sell out early and group sizes are limited, so it is recommended that tickets be purchased in advance.
Beginning September 19, tickets can be purchased at the Old Academy (150 Main Street) Tuesday-Friday 10 a.m.-4 p.m. or on the society’s website, www.wethersfieldhistory.org. Tours are appropriate for ages 13 and up. Tickets are $20 per person. Rain date is Sunday, October 21.
