Annual New Haven Holiday Tree Lighting

December 5, 2019 @ 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm

New Haven's 2018 Annual Holiday Tree Lighting with NBC

Join us on Thursday, December 5th from 4pm to 8pm as New Haven celebrates the season with the City of New Haven’s Annual Tree Lighting. The New Haven Tree Lighting presented by Wells Fargo is a free event kicking off the holiday season in the downtown area. The annual celebration geared to the young and young at heart takes place on the city’s historic Green and features live performances and a variety of children’s activities.

Children can visit with Santa, take a hayride, ride the carousel, visit the NHFPL Readmobile (get your library card! check-out a book!), ferris wheel, touch-a-truck, or enjoy holiday crafts. We will again be partnering with NHFD/Toys for Tots and Wells Fargo/Food Bank to collect toys and food for those in need. The evening is highlighted by the illumination of the tree.

Food trucks: The Cheese Truck, Sugar, The Jitter Bus, Top Shelf, Jesse Ray’s BBQ and Street n’ Savory

Can’t make it to the New Haven Green? If you can’t join us in person catch it live from 7 to 7:30 on NBC, Channel 30!
