Annual Make Music Day Connecticut

June 21 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Annual Make Music Day Connecticut

Make Music Day is a live, free musical celebration on June 21st, the longest day of the year, with concerts on streets, sidewalks, and parks across the city. Connecticut will be hosting events in Danbury, Fairfield, Hartford, Hebron, Middletown, New Canaan, New Haven, Norwalk, Ridgefield, Southbury, Stamford, Stratford, and Waterbury.

Sidewalks, parks, front porches, and public spaces throughout the city will become stages for local musicians to perform and for all to enjoy. Everyone is invited to participate in this international day of music by performing, providing an outdoor space, appreciating, or volunteering.

No, although you can feel free to request tips from the audience Make Music Day is a free event for everyone. It’s a chance to celebrate music as a whole and show the city what talent is out there.

Completely different from a typical music festival, Make Music is open to anyone who wants to take part. Every kind of musician — young and old, amateur and professional, of every musical persuasion — pours onto streets, parks, plazas, and porches to share their music with friends, neighbors, and strangers.

Virtual Session: Tuesday, February 7, 2023 from 4-5pm
Make Music Day Connecticut: June, 21, 2023 at various times
