Celebrate the holiday season in the historic district of Old Wethersfield on December 5, 2024, from 5 pm to 9 pm, at the Annual Holidays on Main. Hosted by the Wethersfield Chamber of Commerce, this free community event brings together caroling, tree lighting, and festive holiday charm, with Colonial homes decked out in 18th-century holiday style.
Festivities include a tree lighting ceremony at 6:15 pm, visits with Santa at the Firehouse (bring a letter for Santa’s mailbox), a silent auction in the Webb Barn, a pop-up Farmers Market, and horse and wagon rides. Guests can also enjoy performances by the WHS Choralaires, a fire juggler, live music, and delicious seasonal treats at local shops and restaurants along Main Street. The evening will feature ice sculptures, craft and food vendors, a beer tent, wine tasting, and tours of the historic Hurlbut-Dunham House.
