The 45th Annual American Crossword Puzzle Tournament March 31 – April 2, 2023 will be held at The Marriott in Stamford, Connecticut. Anyone can register and participate!
Directed by New York Times Crossword Puzzle Editor Will Shortz, this is the nation’s oldest and largest crossword competition. Solvers tackle eight original crosswords created and edited specially for this event. Scoring is based on accuracy and speed. Prizes are awarded in more than 20 categories, including a $5,000 grand prize. Evening games, guest speakers, and a wine and cheese reception allow solvers to meet each other in a relaxed and entertaining atmosphere.
The Stamford Marriott Hotel & Spa provides special low guest room rates ($159, single or double occupancy plus ~$15 per night overnight self parking), available for contestants Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. The rates are $159/night PER ROOM (plus tax) regardless of your choice. This rate is guaranteed through March 16, 2023 (rates afterward subject to room availability).
