The timeless story of hope and optimism takes the stage with Annie at the Garde Arts Center in New London on May 30, 2025. Winner of seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Annie is based on the beloved comic strip by Harold Gray and features a book and score by Tony Award winners Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse, and Martin Charnin.
Set in 1930s New York City, the musical follows little orphan Annie as she embarks on a heartwarming quest to find her parents. Her journey takes her from a run-down orphanage run by the cantankerous Miss Hannigan to a new life with billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his kind secretary Grace Farrell, and a lovable dog named Sandy. Along the way, Annie’s courage and spirit inspire everyone she meets—even President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Featuring unforgettable songs like “Tomorrow” and “It’s the Hard Knock Life,” Annie continues to captivate audiences of all ages with its message of resilience and family.
