An Exhibition in Four Acts & Jane Penfield’s Luminous Pastels at Lyme Art Association

The Lyme Art Association in Old Lyme will present An Exhibition in Four Acts alongside Luminous Pastels, a solo show by artist Jane Penfield, from February 28 through April 10, 2025. This spring exhibition features a diverse collection of works by member artists, displayed in four juried shows: Structural, Spring Ahead, Weather or Not, and Abstracted. Each themed exhibit offers a unique artistic lens—exploring the relationship between built and natural environments, celebrating seasonal renewal, interpreting weather as both phenomenon and metaphor, and delving into abstraction and process.

Running concurrently, Luminous Pastels showcases the pastel artwork of Elected Artist Jane Penfield, winner of the 2024 First Impressions Show. Her solo exhibition includes captivating landscapes, portraits, and scenes of animals that highlight her expressive use of color and light.

The Opening Reception will be held Sunday, March 2, from 2 to 4 pm. Admission is free. Lyme Art Association is located at 90 Lyme Street, Old Lyme, CT 06371.
