An Evening with David Sedaris at Westport Country Playhouse

Celebrated humorist and bestselling author David Sedaris returns to Connecticut for an evening of wit, insight, and storytelling at the Westport Country Playhouse. Known for his sharp satire and candid, often hilarious reflections on everyday life, Sedaris will present a reading of new and classic works on Monday, May 19 at 7:00 pm.

The evening includes a 60-minute reading followed by a 20–30-minute audience Q&A session. Sedaris will also be available for book signings in the lobby before and after the event, with a selection of his books available for purchase.

Sedaris is the author of multiple New York Times bestsellers including Me Talk Pretty One Day, Calypso, Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim, and his most recent release, Happy-Go-Lucky. His essays have appeared in The New Yorker, and his works have been widely recognized in The Best American Essays. His upcoming book, Pretty Ugly, a graphic novel for children illustrated by Ian Falconer, is expected in early 2024.
