America 250: The Connecticut River Goes to War at Connecticut River Museum

Historian Elizabeth Normen explores the Connecticut River’s role in wartime history during America 250: The Connecticut River Goes to War on Wednesday, November 10, 2026, from 6 to 7 pm.

Part of the Connecticut River Museum’s Live from the Boathouse! series, this lecture examines the ways the Connecticut River and the communities along its banks were connected to the nation’s wartime history. The program is presented as part of the America 250 commemoration, marking 250 years of American history.

The lecture will be available both in person and via Zoom. In-person admission is free for museum members and $10 for non-members. Virtual admission is free for members and $5 for non-members.

All members, non-members and virtual attendees must reserve a spot in advance. Virtual attendees will receive the livestream link after purchasing a virtual ticket.
