Alicia Keys’ Hell’s Kitchen at The Bushnell

The award-winning Broadway sensation Hell’s Kitchen arrives at The Bushnell’s Mortensen Hall from December 8–13, 2026, as part of the 2026–2027 Broadway Season.

Inspired by the life, music, and experiences of 17-time Grammy Award winner Alicia Keys, this powerful musical follows Ali, a determined 17-year-old searching for independence, purpose, and her place in the world. Set against the vibrant backdrop of New York City’s Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood, the story explores family, friendship, mentorship, and self-discovery through a dynamic blend of storytelling and music.

Featuring a soundtrack that combines Alicia Keys’ greatest hits with original songs written specifically for the production, Hell’s Kitchen brings its story to life through energetic choreography and emotionally resonant performances. The musical is directed by four-time Tony Award nominee Michael Greif, with choreography by four-time Tony Award nominee Camille A. Brown and a book by Pulitzer Prize finalist Kristoffer Diaz.

Praised as a New York Times Critic’s Pick and celebrated for its powerful performances and uplifting message, Hell’s Kitchen offers an unforgettable theatrical experience that celebrates community, resilience, and the pursuit of dreams.

Performances will take place at Mortensen Hall, The Bushnell, 166 Capitol Avenue, Hartford, CT 06106. Evening performances are scheduled for December 8 through December 12 at 7:30 pm. Additional performances will be held on December 12 at 2 pm and December 13 at 1 pm and 6:30 pm.

Recommended for ages 8 and older. The production contains some strong language and mature themes.
