Al: Artificially Insidious – Page to Stage Reading at Kent Memorial Library

A staged reading of the new technological thriller Al: Artificially Insidious will take place on Monday, April 7, 2026 at 6:30 pm at Kent Memorial Library, 50 North Main Street, Suffield, CT 06078.

Presented by The Suffield Players as part of their Page to Stage Reading Series, the event offers audiences the opportunity to experience a new theatrical work in development. Written and directed by playwright Mark Proulx of Agawam, Massachusetts, the two-act play explores the unsettling possibilities of artificial intelligence and the ways rapidly evolving technology can blur the line between innovation and danger. The story examines the human cost of technological advancement and raises questions about what happens when the tools people create begin to shape—or potentially control—their lives.

The staged reading will feature a cast including Krystle Bernier, Rachel Berezin, Gene Choquette, Zach Gray, Josh Prouser, Kate Stango, Dorine Tayts, and Chris Webber.

The Page to Stage series is designed to support playwrights while giving audiences a behind-the-scenes look at how new plays develop. Following the reading, attendees may have the opportunity to share feedback with the creative team.

Admission is free and open to the public. The program is recommended for ages 13 and up due to thematic content.
