Adventures in Nature: Vernal Pools at Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center

Children ages 6–10 are invited to explore the wonders of vernal pools during Adventures in Nature: Vernal Pools on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center in Mystic. This educational outing, part of a monthly series, offers young explorers the chance to discover the fascinating creatures and ecosystems found in these seasonal ponds.
Participants should come prepared to dipnet and observe aquatic species up close. Close-toed shoes or waterproof boots are required—no Crocs or flip-flops, please. Pre-registration is required for this program.
Admission is free, thanks to the generous support of the Dominion Foundation.
