A Night in Vienna at Garde Arts Center

An evening of classical elegance unfolds as the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra presents A Night in Vienna, a concert celebrating the rich musical tradition of Austria’s greatest composers. The program features Mozart’s Symphony No. 36 “Linz,” composed during a whirlwind visit to the Austrian city, Haydn’s lyrical and expressive Cello Concerto in D, and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 4, a spirited work often noted for its charm and vitality. The performance highlights ECSO Principal Cellist Amy Ward Butler as soloist, showcasing the cello’s expressive range in one of Haydn’s most beloved concertos.
