237th Anniversary Battle of Groton Heights

On Sunday, September 2nd, the Connecticut Society of the Sons of the American Revolution will be participating in two events commemorating the 237th Anniversary of the Battle of Groton Heights.

First event: 4:30pm at the grave of Col. Ledyard, inside the Col. Ledyard Cemetery – 240 Mitchell St. Groton, CT. Grave marking ceremony, with wreath laying and a 3-volley musket salute.

Preceding the Ft. Griswold event, there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new barracks outline project.

Second event: 6:00pm inside Ft. Griswold – Park Ave. Groton, CT

Wreath laying, presentation of the colors, reading of the names of the 88 who died in 1781, extinguishing a luminary for each of the fallen, and a 3-volley musket salute.

This is a NSSAR Silver Color Event.
