2026 Norfolk Tour de Forest at Norfolk Curling Club

Cyclists can enjoy the colors of autumn while supporting local conservation and trail organizations at the 2026 Norfolk Tour de Forest on Saturday, October 17. The annual gravel bike ride benefits Great Mountain Forest and Norfolk Rails to Trails, offering riders of different experience levels an opportunity to explore the scenic woodlands and roads of Norfolk.
Participants can choose between two routes. The 30-mile Icebox Gravel ride begins at 9:30 am and includes rugged gravel and paved roads, with sections conserved by the Norfolk Land Trust. The signature Tour de Forest starts at 10 am and covers 13 scenic miles through and around Great Mountain Forest. Both routes offer opportunities to enjoy the landscape and watch for local wildlife.
The ride begins and ends at the Norfolk Curling Club, 70 Golf Drive, Norfolk, CT. Day-of registration opens at 8 am. Registration costs $50 for adults and $25 for teens, while riders ages 12 and under can participate for free. At the finish, cyclists can refuel with sweet and savory treats, including maple syrup produced by the Great Mountain Forest team.
All proceeds support programs operated by Great Mountain Forest and Norfolk Rails to Trails. Registration is available at https://www.bikereg.com/76628. For additional information, contact Great Mountain Forest Executive Director Mike Zarfos at 860-824-8188 or mike@greatmountainforest.org.
