2019 Hey Stamford! Food Festival at Mill River Park Stamford

The 2019 Hey Stamford Food Festival will be held on August 24th and August 25th from 1 pm to 9 pm at Mill River Park in Stamford. Celebrating food, culture and community, the 3rd Annual Hey Stamford! Food Festival is set! Over two days, The Hey Stamford Food Festival will feature close to 50 of the area’s most delectable food trucks and vendors, The Blind Rhino Beer Garden serving up cold craft and standard beer selections plus specialty drinks; featuring Corona, Modelo and Half Full Brewery, plus a full main-stage concert experience.

Returning for the 2nd year is The Fairfield County Bank Kids Zone, featuring a kids activities, face painters, balloon artists, painting lessons and more! Don’t miss the live music, schedule is as follows:

Saturday, August 24: B.B. King’s Blues Band ft. Michael Lee (from NBC’s hit TV Show The Voice). Michael Lee has teamed up with B.B. King’s Blues Band, keeping the musical legacy of B.B. King alive. For over half a century, B.B. King and B.B. King’s Blues Band defined the blues to the world, averaging over 250 sold out concerts per year, with classics like “The Thrill Is Gone,” “Every Day I Have The Blues,” “How Blues Can You Get,” and “Why I Sing The Blues”.

Hudson Valley’s ‘The Big Takeover’. The seven-piece reggae/ska/roots band from New York will bring their big sound & high energy music to the main stage. The Big Takeover’s global blend unleashes “creativity with a celebratory grandeur” says The Poughkeepsie Journal.

Auguste and Alden will bring their their roots/rock blend, perfect for a Summer afternoon in the park. Composed of Auguste on lead vocal and bass, Alden on lead vocal and guitar, and Tyler Levander on drums. Throughout their musical career, this trio has achieved a number of accomplishments including: First place in the Foxwoods Resort and Casino’s “Battle of the Bands Competition”.

Sunday, August 25th takes you back with the hits of the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and today. Kicking things off with AM Gold Yacht Rock, followed by a live 14-piece concert experience with ‘Decades Rewind’ – The Best Live Nostalgia Music Show.

‘AM Gold Yacht Rock’ is a New York City based tribute band, performing the adult-contemporary hit songs from the late 1970’s through the mid 1980’s. Artists include Hall & Oates, Steely Dan, Huey Lewis, Christopher Cross, Lionel Richie and so many more!

Decades Rewind – ‘The Best Live Nostalgia Music Show’ will be your chance to experience the music of the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s. Featuring over 60 songs, Decades Rewind blends unique medleys keeping the audience singing and dancing the whole time. From Abba to Aretha, Cyndi to Chicago, Madonna to Marvin Gaye, Decades Rewind pays tribute to the biggest hits of the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s.
