Pennsylvania-based department store chain, Boscov’s newest store is now open in Milford at the Connecticut Post Mall located at 1201 Boston Post Road in Milford, Connecticut. This store joins 46 other Boscov’s stores located in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, New York, Delaware, Ohio and already in Connecticut at the Westfield Mall in Meriden.

Boscov’s is a family-owned department store founded by Solomon Boscov in 1914. He sold his goods door-to-door when he first started. Boscov’s is committed to the community and work closely with non-profit organizations and host special shopper days to give back to local organizations. They also place great emphasis on customer service, creative promotions, and exciting events as well as spectacular weekly sales and VIP days.

You must visit Boscov’s for yourself to enjoy the 3-floor department store and all they have to offer. You will find all your favorite brands like Dockers, Dooney & Bourke, SONY, Whirlpool, La-Z-Boy, Pfaltzgraff, Fisher-Price, Panasonic, Lenox, Clinique, Lancome along with some locals brands like Melissa & Doug from Wilton, Connecticut. The large store features a Wedding and Gift Registry, Optical Center, free gift wrap counter, candy shop, and Layaway department.
The main entrance from the mall and outside doors opens up the 2nd floor where you will find women’s clothing, shoes, cosmetics, jewelry, handbags and accessories. Prices are the best we’ve seen anywhere and the variety of merchandise is amazing. You will never leave the store without finding something you want or need.
Take the elevators, or the escalators in the center of the store, to the 1st floor to find luggage, menswear, infants and toddlers, boys and girls clothing, juniors, toys, gift wrap, and layaway. The auditorium is also located on the first floor where they host special events and concerts.
Travel up to the 3rd floor and you will find a large furniture department as well as small appliances, housewares, linens, memory foam mattresses, decorative home, an As Seen on TV section, gifts, and curtains. The third floor is a must-visit for fresh fudge and candy as well as the ever popular, Bargain Central.
In an age of online shopping, Boscovs is thriving. “We have seen a record increase in our sales,” Boscov said. “Most retailers are not doing that. And that sales increase is before our e-commerce numbers are added in – it’s just for brick and mortar sales – and that is impressive and we are proud of that.”

They also have an in-house candy store and make homemade fudge every day as well as roasted nuts similar to the kind you see on the streets of New York City. They also carry a wide variety of other types of chocolates and sweets. The fudge is amazing and such a value at only $6.99 a lb. They make it in a variety of flavors – chocolate, peanut butter, Red velvet, and lots more.
Boscov’s Milford is open Monday through Thursdays, 10:00 am to 9:30 pm, Friday and Saturday 10:00 am to 10:00 pm and Sundays from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. Online shopping at boscovs.com is open 24 hours a day.
