Music During the Revolution at Wilton Historical Society

The sounds of the American Revolutionary Era will take center stage during a presentation by Christine Hauck on Wednesday, September 2, from 7 to 8 pm at the Wilton Historical Society.

As the nation commemorates the 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution, Hauck will explore the music that residents of Wilton may have heard in 1776. Her research examines the composers and music makers of the era, as well as popular musical traditions ranging from patriotic and marching songs to social and dance music, psalms, and symphonies.

Hauck is a visual arts educator, lecturer, multimedia artist, and award-winning designer with advanced degrees in the history of decorative arts and curatorial studies. She was formerly an adjunct professor at the University of Connecticut in digital media.
