Movies in the Plaza: The Great Debaters

Enjoy a summer evening under the stars at Movies in the Plaza, Downtown New Haven’s popular outdoor movie series returning Wednesday nights from May through October. The next screening takes place on June 17 at 8 pm in the cozy setting of Pitkin Plaza, featuring the acclaimed drama The Great Debaters.

Movie lovers are invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets, pillows, and takeout from their favorite local restaurant for a relaxing night in downtown New Haven. The free community event offers a welcoming atmosphere for friends, families, and neighbors to gather and enjoy a film outdoors.

In addition to the movie, complimentary popcorn and snacks will be available for attendees while supplies last. Leashed pets are also welcome, making it a fun outing for the whole family.

The screening will be held at Pitkin Plaza, located at 145 Orange Street, New Haven, CT 06510.

Admission is free and open to the public. Weather updates will be posted on the day of the event at 2 pm.
